Shoulder & chest
A soft natural shoulder has a different presence from a defined one. Chest ease influences movement and how cleanly the cloth hangs.
Hemis / Fine tailoring
A carefully balanced jacket alters how a man stands and moves. The cloth, cut and internal structure must be considered as one.

The jacket
It begins at the shoulder, but never ends there. The way the chest follows the body, the suppression or ease at the waist, the pitch of the sleeve, the length of the jacket and the roll of the lapel all change the effect of the whole.
We assess the client in motion: reaching, sitting, walking and wearing the jacket as intended. The correct decision is not always the closest fit. Lightness, ease and balance may matter more.

Notch, peak or shawl; single- or double-breasted; button stance and front balance alter both formality and proportion.
Canvas, interlining and lining choices influence hand, weight and recovery. Construction is discussed individually rather than guaranteed by category.
Rise, pleats, seat, thigh ease, leg line and hem are considered in proportion to the jacket and the way the client sits and moves.
The tailoring wardrobe
A starting point for business, travel and day-to-evening dressing. We consider how often it will be worn, how structured it should feel, whether it needs to be broken into separates and which cloth will recover between wears.
Decisions: single or double breasted, shoulder structure, lapel, jacket length, trouser rise and leg line, cloth weight and finish.
Often the most versatile tailored piece a man owns. A sports jacket or softer blazer should work with multiple trouser options, not just one ideal photograph. Texture and pattern can introduce character while the silhouette remains controlled.
Decisions: tailored versus relaxed line, patch or welt pockets, lining, texture, intended combinations.
The right trousers can transform jackets and shirts already in the wardrobe. We pay close attention to where they sit, seat and thigh room, the break at the shoe and how they behave after hours of wear.
Decisions: pleats or flat front, fastening, rise, taper or straighter leg, cuffs, intended footwear.
Waistcoats add an extra layer of intention to formal dressing, but proportion and comfort are critical. They can be developed as part of the suit or as a distinct piece with its own material and styling.
Decisions: height of fastening, neckline, back and lining, compatibility with the jacket.
Formal eveningwear asks for discipline. A well-proportioned tuxedo or dinner jacket is considered with its shirt, trousers and accessories as one composition, adapted to the occasion and personal preference.
Decisions: peak or shawl lapel, cloth and contrast, formal trouser details, shirt collar and intended dress code.
Cloth & wear
A frequently worn business suit needs different qualities from a jacket commissioned for an occasional dinner. We discuss season, climate, travel, frequency of wear, care and whether a separate jacket may do more work than another suit.
